There are not too many things that I cherish in my life as much as I do when it comes to my boat. You see, it is a family heirloom of sorts, and I would be the second generation to use it. Sure, it may not seem like much, but it is the only thing that my father left me when he passed away and I cherish it because of the great times that we had in it.
Since the boat is so old, it has needed to be fixed in a long time, but I just hadn’t had the money. Last year, I replaced the Powerhead (since that is all my wife would let me spend), but this year the Stern Drive needs replacing.
This means that I will have to do some sweet talking so that I can convince my wife that we need to spend the money on it. I am sure she will agree if I let her get some scrapbooking supplies or something that she wants first.
I just hope that she agrees because I would really like to get out on the water and fish before it is winter time again. Fishing just soothes my soul.
