A portable plant for crushing and screening is an increasingly viable option for most rock quarry operations for good reason. For a moderate capital investment, as compared to the purchase of a stationary plant, a portable screening unit will more than pay for itself in little time.

The portable screener can be quite versatile in a quarry application. Along with a crusher, the screener is capable of handling quarried rock and allowing for the recycling of asphalt and concrete waste.

Oftentimes, it does not make financial sense to operate only one quarry at a time. A way to get around this problem is by having more than one quarry in a company’s portfolio. In this manner, production can be moved to where the business is best at any given time of the year. As business drops off at one location, additional crushing can occur to stockpile inventory for busy seasons. With a portable screening plant, there is no problem relocating the necessary equipment to make the operation of more than one quarry a viable plan.

Quarries cannot operate efficiently without screening equipment. Using a portable screener just makes sense in order to grow the business with the least investment in capital expenditures.
