If you live in a town along, or near a major transportation corridor, you’ve likely experienced the occasional group of bikers passing through town. Once you get past the thunderous rumbling their motorcycles make you can find there are certain misconceptions and myths surrounding these folks.

For instance, I was recently considering getting my first tattoo and joined a heavily tattooed buddy of mine at his favorite local parlor. I was amazed, and quite overwhelmed at the massive amounts of options adorning the shop’s walls. We decided that we needed to discuss the choices over a few beers and headed out.

While we were at a pub nearby, we heard them. No less than 25 at least. And when the thunder of their motorcycles stopped, a rush of hot, burly bikers strode into the place, ordered up, and took a load off.

Not being small, wingy guys, neither my friend nor I were very concerned, but you never know. We’d really not been in quite this situations before. However, as fate would have it, two of the biggest, meanest looking fellows sat at the bar next to us. Immediately, I started checking out their tattoos. What really caught my eye was the flower tattoos on the fellow closest to me.

When I (politely!) asked him about it, he rolled up his sleeve to reveal a genuinely lovely bouquet of flowers with the message, “R.I.P. Mom. I love you!”
