When we moved to this small community just two years ago, I had high aspirations for the environment that it would provide.  Not only would our children be safe to play outside (unlike the city), but they would also have a chance to participate in sports since sports is one of the few activities that a small town offers.

But after our first year, I learned that sometimes things are just not as organized as you would hope.  Games were not where they were scheduled to be and I have never seen so many parents look so frustrated before.  I have never been one to complain though, so the next year when the team captain spot became available, I volunteered immediately and took it.

In order to change the way things were run, I sought out some team management software that would work in our organization.  Thankfully, there were some great options out there and we went with the software package that looked to be the most promising.

Now, I have convinced most of the coaches to use the software that I have been using and for the most part, sports in our town have been a little more organized.  Who knew that a “big city” boy could make such an impact on a small town?
